24hr Relay - Camper Connection

Easter Seals Campers At Large and Connections

The Easter Seals Camper at Large Program and Easter Seals Camper connection programs provide Easter Seals Campers with the opportunities to get involved in BC Lions Society for the Children with Disabilities events and Easter Seals campaigns.

What is the difference between these two volunteer opportunities:

Easter Seals Campers who decide to become an Easter Seals Camper at Large have an interest in taking on a more leadership role while volunteering at BC Lions Society events and Easter Seals campaigns. 

Easter Seals Campers at Large should be willing to:

  • share their Easter Seals Camp experiences with Easter Seals sponsors and event participants through short public speaking opportunities.
  •  attend multiple BC Lions Society fundraising events  per year and take an active role in these events.  
  • be part of the 24 Hour Relay Easter Seals Camper Connections program.  

The 24 Hour Relay Easter Seals Camper Connections Program

The 24 Hour Relay Easter Seals Camper Connections program is a special program designed to provide Easter Seals Campers the opportunity to be part of one of our three Money Mart Easter Seals 24 Hour Relays in Vancouver, Kelowna or Victoria. 

Easter Seals Campers that participate in the Vancouver Relay are matched up with 24 Hour Relay Teams and become an honorary member of that team.

  • Once matched with a team in March or April campers will be expected to stay in touch with their team by sending monthly e-mails to team members.
  • Campers must be able to attend at least part of the 24 Hour Relay on June 19-20, 2010.
  • Campers and their families may also be invited to attend other events leading up to the 24 Hour Relay such as their team’s fundraisers and team captions reception in May.
  • Campers may choose to participate in various aspects of the 24 Hour relay such as the opening and closing as well as photos with sponsors and teams. 

How do I Become an Camper At Large or Invovled in the 24 Hour Relay Camper Connections Program?

Just fill out the Easter Seals Camper Profile.

Once we have recieved your Easter Seals Camper Profile you will recieve an e-mail confirming that you are now part of the volunteer program that you indicated that you wanted to be part of.
