Program Costs

The cost of running one week of an Easter Seals general camping session is approximately $2400. In the past the Lions Society has been able to subsidize 100% of this cost and up to 2012 our camper families have not paid anything. Unfortunately times have changed and our traditional funding sources have diminished over the years. In order for us to continue offering exceptional camping programs for children with disabilities, we need to change the paradigm with which we approach summer camping.

We are now charging a fee of $550 for a week of general camping. The Lions Society will subsidize the balance of $1850. This was a hard decision for us but necessary one.

In the coming months we will be sending out information on different subsidy programs and money that is available for families who can demonstrate financial need or wishes to access respite funds. We recommend that parents and guardians also look into what is available. We firmly believe that this cost will not be a barrier for anyone who really wants to come to camp. If you have any questions or concerns please contact James Gagnon, Director of Camping, at camp@eastersealsbcy.ca.

One week of regular camping  costs $550.

Participants in the Leader In Training Program at Camp Squamish are required to pay a fee of $650 for the week.

Our Young Adult Program costs $750 for the week.

Subsidy Guide
There are a number of 3rd party organizations that can be approached to help subsidize the cost of camp. The above link has some options for parents to pursue before applying for our own subsidy program.
